ILEA stands for the International Live Events Association. ILEA is the principal community representing creative event professionals, globally.

ILEA Charlotte is governed by a local Board of Directors that is nominated and elected by the chapter. At the international level, ILEA is run by a Board of Governors and a full-time management team. The chapter and international boards are volunteer positions.

Yes, the Certified Special Events Professional or CSEP designation. The CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. If you are a new member or have never logged into the International Website, you will use the membership number listed on your ILEA ID; and your password is welcome. However, once you change your password after your first log-in; you will need to retain it for your reference and future entry to the site. Memberships are for an individual and not a company. If you were to switch companies part way through your membership, your membership will follow you. You will need to update your contact information on the ILEA International website by logging into your profile. Also, please inform our chapter VP of Membership, Katie Kathman so we can ensure we have your updated information.
